The tiny hamlet of Tal y Llyn quietly nestles amidst the peaceful foothills of the Mount Cader Idris mountain range, Wales' second highest peak at 2928 feet, and is close to the lovely shores of Tal y Llyn Lake.
A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts; the surrounding area boasts numerous climbing, walking and cycling opportunities. The area is a paradise for a variety of birds and excellent fly fishing is available from local hotels. For steam enthusiasts the local Tal-y-llyn narrow gauge railway is close by.
The historic town of Dolgellau and the renowned seaside resort of Towyn are both close by, offering a variety of good shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst the enormous blue flag sandy beach at Barmouth is also within easy reach.
Other local attractions include the Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Craft Centre and the beautiful Dolgoch Falls.
